Treatment information
Mild to moderate psoriasis is treated with prescription creams, ointments or scalp preparations, chosen for the area affected and how thick the plaques are, alongside emollients. Widespread, joint-related or poorly controlled psoriasis needs a specialist, which your prescriber will say.
Prescription treatment is only supplied following a clinical assessment. If treatment is not clinically appropriate, you will not be charged for medication.
